The once about seven kilometers long Sa Rughitulla aqueduct ( Italian Acquedotto Romano di "Sa Rughitulla" ) was built in the 1st or 2nd century AD and supplied the Roman Olbia in the province of Sassari in Sardinia with the water from the springs of Cabu Abbas ( German  "beginning of the water" ).

The remains of this Roman aqueduct are still north of the center of Olbia in a park-like area lined with holm oaks , right next to the railway line to Golfo Aranci . The almost destroyed remains of the foundations and some supported arches of the former aqueduct , which initially ran underground to a (preserved) collecting basin carved into the rock, extend over a length of about 50.0 m , where the aqueduct connects.
