Aquaparc is a water park in Le Bouveret in the canton of Valais in Switzerland .

history

The Aquaparc opened on November 26, 1999. From 2003 to 2011, the park was operated by the French amusement park chain Grévin & Cie and at the end of January 2011, along with six other leisure activities, it was sold by the Compagnie des Alpes (CdA) to the amusement park chain Looping Group , which still operates the park today. The managing director of Aquaparc has been Franck Colin since July 1st, 2015.

Areas

The Aquaparc is divided into five areas:

  • Children's world: There are attractions for children in this area, including: a paddling pool, two slides, a wave pool and a lazy river .
  • Family world: In this area there are three tire slides that are family-friendly and suitable for all age groups.
  • Wellness area: adult area, which offers guests aged 16 and over access to two whirlpools, three saunas, a steam bath and a fitness room.
  • Slide world: Various water slides can be found in this area. This includes the opened 8 May 2010 Booster Loop is a 103 meter long and 21 meters high - looping slide with launch pod and trap door where the Ride-h, a speed of 85 km / and an acceleration of up to 3.6  g can achieve .
  • Outdoor area: Weather-dependent area, which is usually open from mid-May to mid-September and has a sandy beach, a lazy river , a paddling pool and a water playground with slides for children between 6 and 12 years old.
