Arévalo is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the western part of the Cerro Largo department in its sector 9 in the Cuchilla del Carmen , which merges into the Cuchilla del Cordobés not far west of the town . The Arroyo Tarariras runs a few kilometers to the east . The Arroyo Sarandí and the Arroyo del Sauce arise to the northwest and northeast of the village . The closest larger settlements are Tres Islas in the northeast, Tupambaé in the southeast and Esperanza in the south-southeast.

Arévalo is on Ruta 38 .
