Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism

Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) is an Amman- based organization founded by Rana Sabbagh .

Goal setting

Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism trains journalists who want to engage in investigative journalism in the Arab world. A handbook sponsored by Unicef defines investigative journalism and has been translated into 14 languages. The organization works with international media, including the Süddeutsche Zeitung , Correctiv , Deutsche Welle , the BBC and the English Al Jazeera , but not the Arab Al Jazeera .

As part of the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2018, the organization received the Raif Badawi Award given by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom , honoring journalists who campaign for freedom rights in memory of the fate of Raif Badawi in the Muslim world.
