Ernst Bigler
Ernst Bigler (born June 30, 1946 in Richterswil ) is a Swiss jazz musician ( trombone ).
Live and act
Bigler began playing the trombone in 1963 as an autodidact at the local jazz club. In 1966 he was a founding member of the Funky Butt Jazzband , which still exists today , with whom he released several albums and which he currently leads (2018). Between 1966 and 1970 he also played with the Royal Kids , from 1970 to 1973 with the Louisiana Jazz Band , 1981 with the Bill Brunskill Jazz Band in London and from 1987 to 1991 with the Saratoga Jazz Band . Since 2009 he has still been one of the belly pussies stompers ; he can be heard on their album Sugar Blues . In 2011 he also became a member of the Saints Jazz Band as the successor to Hans Werffeli .
