The Bauchnuschti Stompers are a Dixieland jazz band founded in 1987.
history
The band was formed in 1987 on the occasion of the birthday of the landlady of the “Bauchnuschti” bar in Zurich's Langstrasse district . At that time, the founding members were exclusively jazz-loving construction professionals from the Canton of Zurich . Röbi Schmid has been the band leader since it was founded.
Highlights in the band's history were engagements at the Schillerwitzer Elbe-Dixie-Festival in Dresden and at the International Dixie & Blues Festival in Zurich.
