Otto Andrae

Otto Andrae (born May 23, 1941 in Rüschlikon ) is a trumpet and trombone player from the Swiss canton of Zurich , who mainly devotes himself to jazz .

He started his musical career in the field of brass music . He played with youth music in Zurich and, at the age of 15, led a Dixieland band. He was trained as a military trumpeter at the recruit school and played the trombone in the Swiss Army Band . Since the early 1960s he has been a permanent member of The Saints Jazz Band under the direction of Romeo Borbach . The Saints is one of the oldest jazz bands, although it threatened to end in the early stages due to frequent staff changes. Through his longstanding membership, Otto Andrae contributed to the band's personal stability.

He was also hired by the orchestra of the Circus Nock and played in other bands such as
