from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Raif Badawi Award for courageous journalists is a prize for journalists who draw attention to human rights violations and grievances in societies characterized by Islam. At the same time, he should remember the case of the Saudi blogger Raif Badawi , who was sentenced to ten years imprisonment, a thousand lashes and a heavy fine for allegedly "insulting Islam".
