ArabellaStarwood was a joint venture between the US Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. and the German Arabella Hospitality Group.

As the central holding company, ArabellaStarwood managed the sales of 41 hotels and resorts in Germany, Switzerland, the Balearic Islands and South Africa. 29 of the 41 hotels were also operationally managed by the Arabella Hospitality Group. ArabellaStarwood included the brands St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Westin, Le Méridien, Sheraton and Four Points by Sheraton.

The most famous hotels included the Castillo Hotel Son Vida and St. Regis Mardavall Resort on Mallorca, The Westin Grand Munich Arabellapark , the ArabellaSheraton Alpenhotel in Spitzingsee, Hotel Schloss Fuschl near Salzburg or the Westin Grand Cape Town Arabella Quays and the Arabella Western Cape Hotel & Spa South Africa.

1998: Arabella Sheraton

The Arabella Starwood Hotels & Resorts was founded in 1998 as the Arabella Sheraton Hotel Management GmbH , a joint venture of the Schörghuber Group established (51 percent) and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. (49 percent).

2006: Arabella Starwood

As part of the joint venture, the contract between Schörghuber and Starwood was extended for a further 30 years at the end of 2006. The new company name since January 1, 2007 is ArabellaStarwood Hotels & Resorts and brings eleven more hotels and resorts under the umbrella of the Starwood brands.

In the course of this, the external appearance of the existing Arabella Sheraton hotels will be changed into different brands. B. the ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel Frankfurt to The Westin Grand Frankfurt and the ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel Munich to The Westin Grand Munich Arabellapark . The Arabella Starwood Hotels now operate under the Staarwood brands St. Regis Hotels , The Luxury Collection , Westin Hotels & Resorts , Le Méridien , Sheraton Hotels & Resorts and Four Points by Sheraton .

2010: dissolution

In 2010 the liquidation of ArabellaStarwood was announced. However, the Schörghuber Group and Starwood will continue to work together.
