Aram Asatryan ( Armenian Արամ Ասատրյան ; * 3. March 1953 in Echmiadzin , † 7. November 2006 in Oshakan ) one was Armenian pop singer and songwriter .

Life

Aram Asatryan was born in Etchmiadzin into a refugee family. In 1985 he formed a band and became known for his voice and musical style. Asatryan has given concerts worldwide in Asia, Europe, Russia, the Middle East and in many cities in Armenia. He wrote well over 500 songs and was on numerous tours. In the course of his life he received many awards such as the "Gusan", which was presented to him on April 18, 2003 by the Ministry of Culture in Armenia. He lived in the USA until his death. Asatryan died of a heart attack on November 7, 2006 near Oschakan in Aragazotn Province when he was sponsoring an Armenian family at a baptism.
