Arambilet (real Angel Luis Arambilet Alvarez ; born September 16, 1957 in Santo Domingo ) is a Dominican writer , screenwriter , painter , graphic artist and filmmaker .

Life

In Latin America and the Caribbean , he is considered to be the creator of the first narrative ( Artes y Letras [art & literature], 1978) and the first graphic poems (combination of text and graphics - Arte y Cibernetica [art and cybernetics], 1978) with ASCII -Art , a combined technique that uses punch cards , a COBOL compilation (IBM model 370-115) and high-speed printers .

Arambilet is in the XX Century History of Computer Graphics and Digital Art sponsored by Association for Computing Machinery SIGGRAPH .

He was awarded for his short stories The cayenne petals (1994) and the novel Neguri's secret (2006).
