The 1952 motorcycle world championship season was the fourth in the history of the FIM - motorcycle road world championship .

Eight races were held in the class up to 500 cm³, seven in the class up to 350 cm³, six in the classes up to 250 cm³ and up to 125 cm³ and five races for the sidecar .
