The 1975 motorcycle world championship season was the 27th in the history of the FIM - motorcycle road world championship .

In the classes up to 500 cm³, up to 350 cm³ and up to 125 cm³ ten races were held , in the class up to 250 cm³ eleven, in the class up to 50 cm³ eight and in the sidecar eight races.

  • The number of rated runs was calculated with an even number of races held by halving this number and then adding one. For example, out of six races, four went into the championship ranking.
  • If an odd number of races was held, the number of runs was added by one and then halved. For example, four of the seven races counted.
