The Arapsu Bridge is a Roman arch bridge in Antalya ( Turkey ). The well-preserved pedestrian crossing is 5–6 km west of the center in the Arapsuyu district at the foot of an old settlement hill that is associated with the ancient town of Olbia .
Classification of the arch shape
The Keilstein construction is now due to a weir built about 100 m downhill deep in the water of the Arapsu brook, which makes it difficult to determine its arch shape. Bean points to the - admittedly not very pronounced - pointed arch , which could indicate a post-antique building. O'Connor, however, classifies the structure as a Roman segment arch bridge , examples of which can be found in the neighboring province of Lycia , such as the bridge at Limyra .
