Arasilangkumari (Tamil: அரசிளங்குமரி) is a Tamil film directed by ASA Sami from the year 1961 .

action

By a trick, Vetrivelan, the general of the king of Mullai Nadu, abducts and marries Arivazhgan's sister Anbukarasi. The king of Mullai Nadu pays tribute to his daughter Azhagurani with part of his will and to his friend Manimaraboopathi, the king of Naga Nadu, with the other. He decreed that the will not be opened before Azhagurani’s 19th birthday.

After the king's death, the villainous Vetrivelan takes control. He rejects his wife and tries to get close to the princess. But Arivazhgan loves this. She escapes and hides under a false identity with Vetrivelan's father. There she has a child.

On Azhagurani’s 19th birthday, Arivazhgan goes to Vetrivelan to challenge him over the rights of his lover and sister. It comes to light that Vetrivelan sneaked the king's post by publishing a false will. However, Arivazhgan reveals the truth. When he tries to kill Vetrivelan, Anbukarasi intervenes and asks for mercy for her husband. Vetrivelan regrets his actions and clears the way for true democracy in Mullai Nadu.
