Ha-en-ded-remetj ḫ3 n dd rmṯ Workers Distribution Office |
The labor distribution office (also office that gives people ) is attested in ancient Egyptian texts of the late Middle Kingdom (around 1850 to 1700 BC). It appears in some papyrus documents of this time, for example in the Lahunpapyri , the Papyrus Boulaq 18 and the Papyrus Brooklyn 35.1446 and in a few inscriptions.
According to the little evidence, it was an institution that organized forced state labor, such as building pyramids. This office was subordinate to the vizier and the head of the labor camp . In the texts it also appears as a supplier of bread, cattle and of course workers.
