Working group of Christian churches in Switzerland

The Working Group of Christian Churches in Switzerland (AGCK-CH) is a Swiss-wide ecumenical organization in which most of the Swiss churches are members. It exercises the function of a National Council of Churches and, as such, is an associated organization of the World Council of Churches . AGCK Switzerland was founded on June 21, 1971 and is organized as an association.

Member churches

Twelve churches are affiliated to the association. These include the Evangelical Reformed Church in Switzerland , the Roman Catholic Church in Switzerland , the Christian Catholic Church in Switzerland as well as the Evangelical Methodist Church and the Salvation Army . There are also the Federation of Swiss Baptist Congregations , the Federation of Evangelical Lutheran Churches in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Orthodox Diocese of Switzerland of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople , representing the Serbian Orthodox, Syrian Orthodox and Romanian Orthodox churches in Switzerland and the Anglican Church in Switzerland. The Association of Evangelical Free Churches and Congregations in Switzerland (VFG), the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Switzerland and the New Apostolic Church in Switzerland have guest status.
