Zuccotto
Zuccotto [dzukˈkɔtto] is an Italian dessert that is similar to Zuppa inglese , cassata and tiramisu .
Zuccotto is prepared in a domed shape, which is reacted with sponge or sponge fingers interprets that with rum are impregnated or other hard alcohol. This is followed by a thick layer of whipped cream , partly flavored with vanilla or chocolate , candied fruit, nuts or chestnuts, and then another layer of sponge cake. Alternatively, ricotta is sometimes used instead of cream. After the dessert has been strongly chilled in a freezer, it can be turned upside down and served sliced.
