Swiss Bishops' Conference

The Swiss Bishops' Conference (SBK) ( French Conférence des évêques suisses , Italian Conferenza dei vescovi svizzeri ) is the coordinating body of the Roman Catholic dioceses of Switzerland . It was founded in 1863 as the world's first bishops 'conference and is a member of the Council of European Bishops' Conferences .

It meets quarterly and has 14 members: the bishops of the six dioceses of Switzerland and their auxiliary bishops and the two abbots of Saint-Maurice and Einsiedeln .
