Croatian Bishops' Conference
The Croatian Bishops' Conference ( Croatian : Hrvatska Biskupska Konferencija , HBK) is the central and permanent assembly of Croatian bishops . The HBK is a member of the Council of European Bishops 'Conferences (CCEE) and an associated member of the Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Community (COMECE). Its head office, with the general secretariat, is in Zagreb .
Statutes
After the decree of 1993 approved and published by Pope John Paul II, the structure and administration of the Croatian Bishops' Conference was established on the basis of the documents of the Second Vatican Council and the Codex Iuris Canonici (CIC) of 1983. The HBK statutes are based on these provisions and have been approved by the general assembly.
