Maltese Bishops' Conference
The Bishops of Malta (English. Maltese Episcopal Conference ) is the official bishops' meeting in the Republic of Malta . Its President is Charles Scicluna , Archbishop of Malta . The Maltese Bishops 'Conference is one of the smaller Bishops' Conferences because it has only two members: the Archbishop of Malta and the Bishop of Gozo .
The Bishops 'Conference of Malta is a member of the Council of European Bishops' Conferences (CCEE).
Working bodies
Within the Bishops' Conference, the following commissions and organs organize the current and necessary work:
- Liturgical Affairs Commission
- Commission for the Church in Malta and Europe
- Education Commission
- Commission for the Preservation of Christian Culture
- National Council for Charitable Aid
- Council for the Promotion of the Priestly Vocation
- Sexual Abuse Investigation Office
- Regional jurisdiction of the second instance
