Belgian Bishops' Conference

The Belgian Bishops' Conference ( Dutch : Belgische Bisschoppenconferentie ; French : Conference Episcopale Belgique ) is the permanent organ of the Roman Catholic bishops in Belgium . She is a member of the Council of European Bishops' Conferences . It includes the bishops, auxiliary bishops and emeritus bishops of the Belgian ecclesiastical province .

Working method

Within the Belgian Bishops' Conference there are four permanent episcopal commissions and three episcopal committees . They are each headed by a bishop, two to three bishops are elected as members, clergymen and experts can be accepted as members. The Bishops' Conference also has a coordination committee. In it, the work for the commissions and committees is prepared, and interdiocesan projects are also discussed. This committee is chaired by the chairman of the bishops' conference.
