Jan De Bie (Bishop)
Jan De Bie (born April 19, 1937 in Olen ) is auxiliary bishop emeritus in Mechlin-Brussels .
Life
Jan De Bie was ordained a priest on July 8, 1961 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 13, 1987 auxiliary bishop in Mechlin-Brussels and titular bishop of Uppenna . The Archbishop of Mechlin-Brussels , Godfried Cardinal Danneels , donated him episcopal ordination on April 19 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José Floriberto Cornelis OSB , Archbishop ad personam and Former Bishop of Alagoinhas , Albert Jean Charles Ghislain Houssiau , Bishop of Liège ,Paul Lanneau , auxiliary bishop in Mechlin-Brussels, and Paul Van den Berghe , bishop of Antwerp .
He resigned from his office on March 3, 2001.
