The Catholic Media Center is an amalgamation of the former church media institutions CCRT, kipa-apic, the Catholic media service, the French-speaking Swiss internet portal cath.ch and the Ticino CCRTv Lugano. With the founding meeting on May 7, 2014, the association was constituted on behalf of the Swiss Bishops' Conference (SBK) and the co-financing organization Roman Catholic Central Conference of Switzerland (RKZ) and bundles the media work of the Roman Catholic Church in Switzerland .

In the external presentation, the national languages ​​are offered in the online service offerings kath.ch (German), cath.ch (French) and catt.ch (Italian) in accordance with the framework statutes of the media centers in Switzerland .

The facility is headed by theologian and media scholar Charles Martig . Since November 13, 2014, Odilo Noti, who has a doctorate in theologian and former Head of Communication at Caritas Switzerland , has been President of the Supervisory Board . Media Bishop Alain de Raemy is responsible for ecclesiastical jurisdiction .

Seat

Since July 2015, the Catholic media center with its newsroom in Zurich West has been under one roof together with the editorial team of kath.ch, media tip, reformed media and other NGOs.
