Charles Martig (born September 19, 1965 in Brig ) is a Swiss theologian , media scientist , digital marketing expert and film journalist.

Life

Martig studied theology , communication and media studies at the Universities of Friborg (Switzerland) and Amsterdam . From 1994 to 2014 he worked for the Catholic Media Service as a film commissioner. From 2002 to 2014 he was the managing director of this nonprofit organization in Zurich . Martig has been Director of the Catholic Media Center in Zurich since 2015 . From 2002 to 2008 he was a lecturer in the field of practical theology and media studies at the University of Friborg (Switzerland). In 2007 he became a cinema of irritation because of the dissertation supervised by Leo Karrer . Lars von Trier's theological and aesthetic challenge for Dr. theol. PhD. Charles Martig completed an Executive MBA Marketing at the HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Zurich in 2019. He advises nonprofit organizations and is a lecturer in advanced training for digital marketing at the ZHAW School of Management and Law.

Martig is a member of the Swiss Association of Film Journalists SVFJ and the Zurich Public Relations Society. This belongs to the Swiss PR Association, which operates under PR suisse . He is also a member of the international research group RFM Religion Film Media.

Charles Martig practices Japanese martial arts: 5th Dan Aikido and 3rd Dan Jōdō .
