The working group debt counseling of the associations ( AG SBV ) represents the interests of overindebted people in Germany and the associations active in the debt counseling .

Foundation, member associations and speakers

The AG SBV was founded in 2000. It has brought together leading associations for voluntary welfare at the federal level ( Arbeiterwohlfahrt Bundesverband eV , Deutscher Caritasverband , Deutscher Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband , German Red Cross , Diakonie Deutschland - Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung ), the Federal Consumer Association and the Federal Working Group on Debt Counseling. The AG SBV is not a legal person and is represented by the spokesperson for the AG SBV.

tasks and goals

The AG SBV promotes the technical work of debt counseling through regular information, advice and coordination between the members. It supports cross-association issues of debt counseling at the federal level. It works on central issues with the federal government, the federal states, municipal umbrella organizations, other public administration institutions and other associations and institutions. She regularly develops opinions and positions and participates in legislative procedures that are important for overindebted people. It is committed to providing professional help for over-indebted people and cooperates closely with science and research. With the annual debt counseling campaign, the public is made aware of the concerns of overindebted people.
