List of stumbling blocks in Berge (Lower Saxony)

The list of the stumbling blocks in mountains contains all the stumbling blocks in the framework of the same art project by Gunter Demnig in mountains were laid. They are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who lived and worked in the mountains. During the laying on July 15, 2014, three stumbling blocks were laid.

Berta Neublum was born as Berta de Vries on September 7, 1873 in Haren . She was married to Adolf Abraham Neublum. On July 31, 1942, they were deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto and from there on May 15, 1944 to the Auschwitz extermination camp.

Paul Neublum was born on November 12, 1907 as the son of Berta and Adolf Abraham Neublum in Berge. On May 13, 1938, he fled to the Netherlands and on to Belgium. In May 1940 he was deported to the Saint Cyprien internment camp. On April 12, 1943 and 1944, he was arrested in Belgium and shot while trying to escape.
