Working group of German-speaking amateur theater associations
The working group of German-speaking amateur theater associations ( AddA ) is a permanent working group of German-speaking amateur theaters . It consists of the Federal Game and Theater Association , the Association of German Amateur Theaters , the Austrian Federal Association for Non-Professional Theater, the South Tyrolean Theater Association and the Central Association of Swiss Folk Theater.
Common projects
Examples of this international cooperation include the Interkurs, a series of training courses for multipliers from the four German-speaking countries and the international youth theater camps under the title “Babylon 4”, which take place in a different country during the summer months.
In 1996 the idea of the Interkurs was born. Representatives of the amateur theater associations Austria, South Tyrol, Switzerland and Germany designed this project together. The motto of the Interkurs is “to train the trainer” - that is, trainers, speakers and course leaders show their work and approach to a piece. You will demonstrate your method with all course participants and experience the methods of speakers from other countries. The aim is to get to know new things, to check what is one's own, to refine the method or, in general, to develop further in comparison with others.
Once a year, the chairmen of the associations, the management and the public relations officers meet at different locations. The host in 2017 was the BDAT . The meeting took place from November 3rd to 5th, 2017 in Leipzig .
