Home Care Working Group in the Tübingen District Association is a homeland association in Tübingen .

founding

In connection with the preparation and implementation of the Baden-Württemberg Home Days , which have been taking place every year on the second weekend in September since 1978, the “ Baden-Württemberg State Committee for Home Care ” was established in 1986 . At the level of the administrative districts, four regional “home care working groups” were established as registered associations, whose offices are affiliated to the regional councils of Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Tübingen. The Tübingen working group was founded on November 13, 1985 under the leadership of District President Max Gögler in Riedlingen.

task

These working groups are an amalgamation of associations and federations from the following areas: protection and care of nature and landscape, preservation of historical building fabric, care of folk music, folk dance, choral singing, traditional costumes and dialect as well as local and regional history, homeland and open-air museums, folklore and regional studies and the concerns of expellees.

Museum award

In addition to the "compulsory task" at home days in Baden-Württemberg , each regional working group has developed a certain "life of its own". One of the first tasks of the Tübingen working group, chaired by Martin Blümcke, was to compile a regional museum guide, which was published in 1987 under the title “Museums and Galleries between Neckar and Lake Constance” and was published in 1991 in the second edition. One of the next Tübingen activities was the invitation to tender for a museum prize for the non-state museums in the administrative region, which was first awarded in 1992 under the title “Prize for exemplary local museums”. In the eleven competitions to date, the jury was able to award awards to numerous museums between Schönbuch and Lake Constance.
