The Working Group of Critical Librarians (Akribie) was a German library association . It was founded in 1988 with the aim of regularly exchanging experiences, questioning the familiar, identifying pain points, getting the general public interested in the development of libraries and establishing democracy both among the public and among librarians .

On November 1, 2011, the working group announced its dissolution.
