Occupational health and safety management
The health and safety management , including safety management , the organization covers all areas of occupational safety , the occupational safety and health in workplaces .
Since the subject area of occupational safety can be very extensive and many regulations and laws must be observed, the introduction of an occupational safety management system such as ISO 45001 , OHRIS or SCC is recommended .
In any case, the company doctor , the specialist for occupational safety and the employee representatives must also be involved in occupational safety management. (See also occupational medicine )
However, the responsibility for occupational safety always rests with the company ( employer ) and his deputies ( superior to whom the duty has been officially assigned).
Occupational health and safety awards to promote occupational health and safety management
Companies have been using internal benchmarking across national or international company locations for a long time to promote, identify and apply best practice solutions to other locations. For this purpose, internal competitions are often called in which the location with a best-practice solution is awarded a prize within the company. These internal awards, which are also used to force a company on important topics across all locations , have been awarded internally for a long time in the areas of quality management , business excellence or strategy development. In the meantime, internal awards or prizes are no longer given only by the "big companies". Even in medium-sized companies, entrepreneurs recognize the importance and benefit of promoting topics efficiently and purposefully in this way. These internal awards are also becoming increasingly popular in the field of occupational safety, promoting the topic company-wide and learning from the best solutions at the individual locations. In addition to the internal awards, national health and safety awards are also presented.
National occupational safety prizes are advertised and awarded in Germany by the respective professional associations and the main association of commercial professional associations.
