Archäologisches Korrespondenzblatt (Subtitle: Prehistory Roman Age Early Middle Ages ) is an archaeological journal published by the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum Forschungsinstitut für Archäologie Mainz (RGZM) in conjunction with the Presidium of the German Archeology Associations .

The Archäologische Korrespondenzblatt has been published since 1971 with four issues per year. The thematic focus ranges from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. The magazine was published 1971–1977 by the Philipp von Zabern publishing house , Mainz, and has been published by the Roman-Germanic Central Museum since 1978.

In addition to the current research discussion, new discoveries and short analyzes of supraregional interest find their place here. It is in contrast to many other archaeological publications, which mainly publish more extensive final works. A contribution for the archaeological correspondence sheet may currently not exceed 20 printed pages. Articles appear primarily in German, less often in English or French. The journal is peer-reviewed , i. H. Submitted articles will be expertly reviewed by external editors.
