Former Widum (2011)

The Archaeological Museum Fließ is a museum in the municipality of Fließ in Tyrol. Most of the museum is located in the former Widum , which is a listed building. The smaller part can be viewed on registration and ticket purchase on the ground floor of the new town center.

The Widum was mentioned in a document in 1360 and is marked 1713 in the ridge. A flight of stairs leads to the high-lying former living area. The facade paintings with fresco medallions from the end of the 18th century show St. Josef , Mariahilf and St. Antony .

The museum in Widum shows in particular finds from the prehistoric burnt offering place at Gachen Blick as well as a Bronze Age treasure find from Moosbruckschrofen. The standing next to modern museum building, the Via Claudia Augusta represents. In addition, there are external guides at the sacrificial site.
