from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Green Memory Archive is an institution of the Heinrich Böll Foundation . Its task is to collect the sources on the history of the New Social Movements and the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party , to make them accessible, to preserve them and to make them accessible to the public. The archive consists of three areas.

The first area is the archive of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. It collects files from the boards of directors, offices and parliamentary groups as well as archives from the new social movements. The archive also preserves the personal documents of the actors. The archive material is around 6,000 running meters.

The second area is the library of the archive. It is used to collect all publications by and about Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and also collects literature on green topics and other key collections in the archive. The library is purely a reference library with currently around 23,000 individual titles. These can be researched in the online catalog.

The third area is made up of the archive's documentary collections: posters, photos, sound and film recordings, websites, press releases and articles. A database enables differentiated access.

The archive has been publishing a yearbook since 2007, under the title Green Memory, scientific papers and individual holdings of the archive are presented. The 2008 Green Memory was dedicated to Petra Kelly.
