The archive for book trade and commercial graphics was a specialist journal on the subjects of book art and commercial graphics . According to its subtitle, the paper, founded by Alexander Waldow, was published in 22 years in the period from 1922 to 1943 in Leipzig by the publishing house of the German Book Trade Association . The periodical successor to the journal Archive for Book Trade and Graphics .

In 1924 the addition “Special issue of German press and bibliophile series printing” was noted. Archives for printing, book-craft, and commercial art was partly the English-language parallel title.

During the Second World War , the wartime community edition of the German book trade was published from 1943 to 1944 .

Various supplements were added to the sheet with ISSN 0233-0024, such as Die Letter and Die Meisterschule , the communications of the Federation of German Commercial Graphics , the title Württembergische Staatliche Kunstgewerbeschule Stuttgart. Graphics department: technical notices and the supplement German book trade .

The magazine's successor was the Archive for Print and Paper .
