Arcos is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Arcos belongs to the district and the city (pt: Cidade ) Braga in the district of Braga . The community had an area of 0.9 km² and 762 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Arcos and Lomar were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Lomar e Arcos .
