Arend Diedrich von der Pahlen
Arend Diedrich von der Pahlen Freiherr von Astrau (* 1706 ; † March 24, 1753 ) was a German-Baltic landowner from the noble family of von der Pahlen and Herr auf Palmse , Kattentack and Aunack .
Von der Pahlen studied in Halle , was particularly interested in architecture and engineering as well as mathematics and was a landowner in Estonia. He is considered to be the founder of the extensive Pahlen library of Palmse.
He was married to Magdalena Elisabeth von Derfelden , their children were:
- Gustav Friedrich Freiherr von der Pahlen
- Magnus Christopher Freiherr von der Pahlen (1732–1757)
- Anna Wilhelmine von der Pahlen (1734–1799)
- Helena Friederica von der Pahlen
- the later Imperial Russian Army Councilor and privy councilor Hans Freiherr von der Pahlen (1740–1817), his successor as Herr auf Palmse.
- ? Peter von der Pahlen (1745–1826), Russian Foreign Minister and participant in the conspiracy against Tsar Paul I.
