Arendalsvassdraget

Arendalsvassdraget is the name of a river system in Norway . It includes lakes and rivers in ten municipalities in Telemark and Agder . The catchment area covers 4015 km². The upper part of the river system lies in West Telemark and consists of the lakes Vråvatn , Nisser , Fyresvatn , Birtevatn and Nesvatn with the associated tributaries including Finndøl , which flows from Fyresdalheiene to Fyresvatn.

The river Nisserelva flows from Nisser and the river Fyreselv (also: Fyresåna ) flows from Fyresvatn . There they meet the river Nidelva , which in turn flows into the Skagerrak at Arendal .

Arendalsvassdraget has a total length of 209 km; There are 15 hydropower plants on this route. The mean flow rate is 110 m³ / s (measuring station at the Rygene power plant ), the maximum value is 1,200 m³ / s (autumn 1987).
