Aretos (military leader)
Aretos ( Greek Ἄρητος ) is a general of Bakchos in Greek mythology .
He appears only in the Dionysiaca of the Nonnos of Panopolis from the fifth century AD. In the seventeenth song, he is mentioned in a list of the general of Bakchos on his way to India , when the army moved on from Asia Minor towards Assyria .
