Ariel Lin (born October 29, 1982 in Taipei ; real name Lin Yi Chen ) is a Taiwanese actress and singer .

She made her debut in 2002 in the drama True Love 18 . After that, she can be seen in other series, including the drama Love Contract with Mike He . She had her final breakthrough in 2005 at the side of Joe Cheng in the TV series It Started With a Kiss , which is based on the Japanese manga Itazura na Kiss . In 2007 the second part of the series took place under the name They Kiss Again , again with Joe Cheng. Since then she has been one of the most popular actresses in Taiwan.

In addition to acting, she studies Korean at Chengchi National University in Taipei.

Early years of life

Lin was born in Yilan, Taiwan into a middle-income family. She has a younger brother. Her parents divorced at a young age and she was raised by her mother. Lin lived in poverty for many years. In 2014, Lin helped reconcile her estranged parents. [1]

Lin holds a BA in Korean and Literature from National Chengchi University. She received her Master of Arts (MA) in acting from the Royal Central School of Language and Theater, University of London in 2014.

Personal life

In June 2008, Lin was diagnosed with a 2-cm cyst on the pituitary gland and was operated on in February 2009.

On December 24, 2014, Lin married businessman Charles Lin. The couple was introduced by mutual friends. The two then began dating until they got married.
