Ariel Rotter (* 1973 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine screenwriter and film director .

biography

Ariel Rotter was born in Buenos Aires in 1973. In 1992 he began his studies at the still young "Universidad del Cine" in Buenos Aires. He studied film directing, acting, art and photography. He also took part in scriptwriting workshops with Syd Field (1996) and Marx Axelrod (1998). In addition to two feature films, his cinematic work now also includes four short films and 120 commercials as well as 60 video clips in which he worked in a wide variety of functions. B.Aires - Sólo por hoy is his first feature film and gives an insight into the life of the residents of a flat share in their mid-twenties in Buenos Aires. The Other , Rotters latest project, premiered at the 57th Berlinale in 2007 and won the Silver Bear (jury award) there. The silver bear for best actor went to Julio Chavez, leading actor in EL OTRO / The Other.
