Arif Mammadov

Arif Mammadov (born September 22, 1964 ) is an Azerbaijani diplomat.

Life

From 1983 to 1988 he studied languages ​​at VKIMO in Moscow. From May 2000 to November 2006 he headed the Representation of Azerbaijan to the EU in Brussels and from January 2007 to September 2012 the Permanent Representation of Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg . Since June 2013, he has been the first ambassador in Brussels to head the representation of the Jeddah- based Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to the EU.

From 2008 to 2012 he was on the board of directors of the Oslo-based European Wergeland Center, a training center for intercultural understanding, human rights and democratic civil rights.
