Aristopeithes
Aristopeithes ( ancient Greek Ἀριστοπείθης ) was a Greek sculptor from the Attic Demos Phyle , who at the end of the 4th century BC. Was active.
It is known from two inscriptions on statue bases that were found in the Attic mystery site Eleusis . The inscriptions show him as the son of a [...] nymos, which was added to Aristonymos or Kleonymos. The statues were dedicated to the mystery goddesses Demeter and Kore ; they were donated by Xenocles from the Demos Sphettos , who is known from numerous inscriptions and who probably lived from 326 to 324 BC. Held a priesthood in Eleusis.
