Aritenyesebokhe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aritenyesebokhe was a Nubian king who probably ruled in the second century AD.

So far he is only known from his pyramid Beg N30 in Meroe . Next to this pyramid, two blocks with his name were found in the rubble. The assignment of the pyramid to this ruler is therefore not completely certain. His name is also recorded on a fragment of a sacrificial tablet that was also found in the necropolis of Meroe.

Aritenyesebokhe had a throne name written in Egyptian hieroglyphics and based on the Egyptian model : Cheperkare.
