Inés Sastre Moratón (born November 21, 1973 in Valladolid , Spain ) is a Spanish model , mannequin and actress . Less known in Germany, she has been one of the internationally established models for over 20 years. She currently lives in London and Paris .

Career

Inés Sastre started her lightning career at the age of twelve: after shooting fashion for the Spanish department store chain El Corte Inglés , she was hired for a McDonald’s TV commercial. In this commercial she discovered cult director Carlos Saura and made her a leading actress in his next film. In a short period of time she became well known in the Spanish-speaking world.

In 1989 she won the international 'Look-of-the-Year' competition of the renowned Parisian supermodel agency Elite . But she turned down the agency contract offered to her in order to graduate from school. In 1992 she began her studies at the Sorbonne University in Paris , where she graduated with a degree in French literature. In 1996 she was designated by Lancôme as the new “Trésor” face and in 1998 replaced Isabella Rossellini as the Lancôme face . Since then she has been Lancôme's top model worldwide.

In 2006 she married her boyfriend Alexandro Corrias at Brompton Oratory Church in London and had a son in October 2006. In September 2007 Inés Sastre told the Spanish magazine Hola that the marriage was divorced and the couple would go their separate ways.

Advertising and fashion

In 1997 she received the Beauté Naturelle award at the Prix ​​de la mode in Paris (Natural Beauty Trophy / Paris Fashion Awards). She has long been under contract with Elite , Ford-Models and Next-Models in Paris and New York and is currently working with city ​​models . Movie

As an actress, Inés Sastre played one of her first roles in the 1995 film Beyond the Clouds , which was directed by Michelangelo Antonioni and Wim Wenders . She starred in this film alongside John Malkovich , Sophie Marceau , Jean Reno , Marcello Mastroianni and Jeanne Moreau . Sastre was nominated for a prize from the Asociación de Críticos Cinematográficos de Argentina for her leading role in the Argentine film Un amor de Borges (2000) .
