Elite model look

The Elite Model Look is an annual international model competition organized by the international model agency Elite Model Management . The first choice took place in 1983 under the name "Look of the Year". In 1995 the name was changed to the current one. All participating countries are allowed to propose girls for the competition who have never or only recently worked as models. In exceptional cases, or in larger countries like the United States , multiple girls from one country may participate.

The main prizes are contracts worth a total of USD 325,000 with Elite Model Management for work as a model and mannequin .

For the participants, the competition is an introduction to the modeling business. Well-known female models who made their entry into the fashion world through the Elite Model Look - but without winning the competition - include Karen Mulder , Gisele Bündchen , Alessandra Ambrosio , Linda Evangelista , Ana Beatriz Barros , Stephanie Seymour and Cindy Crawford . The 1995 winner, Sandra Wagner, chose a different path and fulfilled her wish to become a therapist.
