The Arizona State Route 88 (abbreviated AZ 88 ) is a state highway in the US state of Arizona , which runs north-south direction.

The State Route begins on US Highway 60 in Apache Junction and ends near the Roosevelt Dam on Arizona State Route 188 . It follows the course of the Salt River from Tortilla Flat to Roosevelt Dam. The road used to be the main road to Payson until Arizona State Route 87 was built and was extended to Globe . This section is now part of Arizona State Route 188.
