Arje Gamli'el

Arje Gamli'el ( Hebrew אריה גמליאל, Born March 11, 1951 in Beersheba , Israel ) is a former Israeli politician of the Shas party, who was a member of the Knesset from 1988 to 2003 .

biography

Gamli'el attended a yeshiva in Rechovot and was ordained a rabbi. He then worked as the head of a Talmud school in Sderot . He was Deputy Minister for Construction and Housing from July 29, 1992 to September 9, 1993 , from August 13, 1996 to August 22, 1997, and from August 24, 1997 to January 20, 1998, and from February 25, 1998 Deputy Minister for Religious Services until July 6, 1999 .
