Arjen Lubach
Arjen Henrik Lubach (born October 22, 1979 in Groningen ) is a Dutch comedian , writer, television presenter and music producer. He became known through his television program Zondag met Lubach (Sunday with Lubach).
Life
Lubach grew up in Lutjegast near Groningen . His parents were lawyers and his father a professor at the University of Groningen . When Lubach was 11 years old, his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, from which she died a year later. Lubach achieved some national success as a musician under a pseudonym in the Netherlands.
Since 2014 he has moderated his satirical TV show Zondag met Lubach , in which he addresses current issues. In 2017 this show was awarded the Gouden Televizier-Ring , which is considered the most important Dutch television award.
