Arkadio ( Greek Αρκάδιο [ arˈkaðjɔ ] ( n. Sg. )) Is an uninhabited small island in the north of the Bay of Milos opposite Cape Kerdari.

Like Milos, the island lies on the arch of the Cyclades . Its foundation - mostly on the southwestern part - was badly eroded by sea waves, while an earthquake in 1925 caused very deep cracks. Their flora consists mainly of lower scrub.

It is also known as Arkadia , Akradia or - in contrast to Mikri Arkadia ("Little Arkadia") to the west - as Megali Arkadia ("Greater Arkadia"). Both archipelago are known as Akradies (plural for Akradia).

Arkadio is archaeologically important because of some remains of buildings from late antiquity . In order to protect the natural habitat and cultural heritage, the small island has been officially declared an Area of Natural Beauty .
